The Timson T-48A book press is the successor to our very successful T32 line of book presses. While keeping the labor saving ergonomic design of the T32 the T48 goes much further providing tool-less semiautomatic plate loading, without the need to cut the web making for very efficient production of single color books.

By virtue of its vertical web line and unique plate lock-ups, plate changes can be completed in less than 3-minutes good copy to good copy.
Utilizing the Timson M7/4 open three-sides folder, ( no gussets, crows feet or head wrinkles) the T48 can produce 16, 32, 48, or even 64-pages from a single web.
Higher page counts per form mean fewer forms per job; thus, the bindery will use less pockets, saving on labor & the need for double passes on high page count books. Single and double parallel cross-folds are also available and can be incorporated as an X feature to add additional formats.
Timsons standard print cylinder circumferences range from 34.5” to 57”, with web widths available in 40, 47, 53, and 60”.
Stock weights of 20 to 90 lbs. can be produced on the T48A.
The T-48A is designed with rollaway inkers to give the printer complete access to the inking and dampening systems. Semi-automatic web threading keeps downtime to a minimum. State of the art independent drives, along with PLC controls and an operator friendly H.M.I. (Human Machine Interface) contribute to efficient press operation.
