Yes. Timsons is part of the Magnum group, and the Kettering works — foundry, machine shop, and assembly — is in full operation with fresh investment and a reopened apprenticeship programme.

Yes. Most Timson presses built in the last 40 years are still in daily use, and we support them. Castings are poured in our own foundry and machined on site.

The T48A is a single-unit press for single-colour books with sub-3-minute plate changes. The ZMR adds a second print unit so plates are changed while the press runs — zero make-ready — and enables tight-register two-colour work.

Yes. T48A presses are designed for upgrade to ZMR operation after installation, and two-colour presses can be extended toward four-colour production.

From under 1,000 copies to best-seller quantities. Zero and near-zero make-ready is what makes short runs profitable.

From 28gsm Bible and dictionary stock to 120gsm bulked and coated papers, with dryer options for coated work.

Every press is custom-configured: web width, print cylinder circumference, number and format of print units, and folder (M5, M6, or M7 ranges — including the three-sides-open format Timsons pioneered).

It's the group's web-fed folding line for digital book production — Magnum's automation with Timsons' folding heritage, manufactured in Kettering — so it's offered under both brands.

Head office and manufacturing: Kettering, England. The Americas are served through the group's North American operations. A list of worldwide partners is available on request.
